Like a lot of people, I read The Secret when it first came out in 2006, after a friend had raved about it and told me I must read it. This a little after I started my own company, and the simple idea behind the book, i.e. the law of attraction, immediately made so much sense to me. The law of attraction states that like attracts like, and this simple statement neatly distilled what I had felt instinctively – that being positive brings positive results and being negative delivers negative results. This understanding would go on to shape my actions as I grew my business and worked towards my personal and professional goals. Working with the law of attraction is about training the mind in order to get what you want, including all those things that most of us are looking for in life: career success, wealth, good health, thriving relationships and an abundant, happy existence. For me, particularly when it comes to business, there’s no doubt that it works. Understanding and embracing the law of attraction is the single biggest tip I would give to anyone seeking career or business success. Just over a decade after I began to really explore the law of attraction, I run a group of successful property companies and have built a property portfolio currently worth over £20 million (I say ‘currently’ because it’s growing every year). To this day, the law of attraction continues to be a core part of how I grow my business, work towards my goals, and build my success.
